Achieving Your Outcomes In Life

Outcome Setting – Process Outcomes

I was prompted to post this today as a result of some questions that I have been asked recently about achieving outcomes and goals. This is my personal take on the whole process which has been adapted from my experiences in NLP and Objective setting in my previous career as a Police Manager.

We are now going to be taking some significant action in relation to setting outcomes and achieving them. It is an essential part of any plan to have written outcomes which specify exactly how the outcome will be achieved.

Coping With Negative Thoughts

If you are like one of the 1000's of people who are plagued on a daily basis by negative thinking or unhelpful ruminations then I would like to share a simple process that can allow you to take back control of your emotional well-being. I often teach myclientsand course attendees how to use this to overcome those old ways of thinking. I would be interested to hear how well you made it work for you.

Enjoy.

Very often our thoughts can have an adverse effect on our performance and our daily lives.

Government Plan To Monitor Smokers

Just imagine if that were true and you were being spied on as a smoker, would you stop? Probably not! Because you need much more than a threat from an outside source. Here is a more realistic scenario from a recent case file.

Just a few short weeks ago I helped a client to become a non smoker. This person went from being a 50 to 60 per day smoker to a non smoker in just one session. Now, that is not too unusual as long as the person wanting to stop really wants to become a non smoker.
This person did and had three of the key ingredients to make the session a success:

The Happiness Window

I read this today in a book of inspiring stories and it made me realise that the pursuit of happiness is a personal choice. I do not know the author. I hope that you enjoy. Peter.

The Happiness Window

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour a day to drain the fluids from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.
The men talked for hours on end.

Stacy Solomon and The Smoking Scandal

Have you ever tried to quit a habit such assmokingcold turkey? If so, then you know how challenging that can be.

I have been watching the media attention that has been focused on Stacy Solomon recently, after she had been photographed smoking a cigarette, even though she is pregnant. Now that young mother is being paraded about the media and apologising for her actions and I find that quite upsetting to see. She is only a young lady herself and is doing what many of us have done in our life, having a cigarette.

Hypnosis & Gaining A Perspective

Gaining Perspective

Oftentimeswe become so immersed in our day to day life that we lose perspective on what is really important. I think of this as the effect of “cumulative clutter” both mentally and physically.

Take a moment to just look around you, in your life, your home or even work. How much clutter is gathering? What does your workspace look like? How is the brain space? One of the common statements I hear from myhypnosisclients after a session is that of having some “brain Space.

There is no failure only feedback

In the world of Neuro Linguistic Programming(NLP)there is a presupposition that “There is no failure only feedback.” You could think of presuppositions as, convenient beliefs, not necessarily true, just a set of beliefs which if you held  to be true you would give you more flexibility in your life.

When you hold onto this presupposition as though it were true, it will empower you to achieve far more in whatever you are endeavouring to achieve. This belief allows you to focus on results and not failures because the reality is, there will always be results, just sometimes not the ones you want.
